A Red-White-Blue Day Goes Green

If you are hosting a July 4th meal, consider holding it outside with normal tableware, not disposables. While arguably easier to handle in cleaning up, plastic refuse going to the dump will be with us forever. Recycle any plastics. Use locally grown food where possible. Save and reuse decorations. Use fireworks rich in nitrogen or go see the bigger fireworks at the pier. Everyone can help our environment in many ways, even on holidays.
