Golf carts on the Beaches

After a brief ban, Horry County officials are reconsidering allowing golf carts on the beaches. The revision up for vote would allow the mini-vehicles back on the beach during the off-season from November through February. The public safety committee heard from three local residents who support the move, but it’s up to Horry County Council members to make the final decision. Although the majority of visitors won’t be affected by this change, winter-time Myrtle Beach vacation goers may be able to cruise the coastline on their next trip here.
